This marvelous pastoral hymn tune by William B. Bradbury (1816-1868) is characterized by its quiet lyricism. Hayes' arrangement captures the essence of the melody with the addition of lush harmonies that are thoughtful, with just the right number of notes, thus creating an air of gentleness and peace that speaks to the sense of security we are blessed with by abiding in the Shepherd's care.
