My 'boss', Brad Kisner, met you at the Methodist Fellowship meeting this summer, and he was so thrilled! I continue to enjoy playing your wonderful arrangements at church, both old and new. This coming Sunday, I'll be playing 'Holy Ground'. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with all of us.
(Jan Grewe)
I sang your song, Safe Within Your Arms, last week and was so blessed by the message. I have had a few rough years, and that was the first time I have soloed in a while. Thank you for letting God work through you.
(Russ Rieger)
I can't thank you enough for writing "The Dreamer" for Dr. Tim Seelig and The Turtle Creek Chorale! It was truly thrilling to perform this moving work. You've really touched our hearts. Thank you so much for being at the concert.
(Sue Smith)
My piano partner and I have really enjoyed playing Mark's works for two pianos and also piano/organ duos. Our church, Clear Lake Presbyterian, is fortunate to have two fine grand pianos and we use them a lot in our services. We met Mark at one of his workshops here in Clear Lake. I picked up the "Well-Tempered Jazz" book and just love the arrangements! I also purchased a number of other exciting books and the Wedding music set. Mark is the best arranger/composer in the business today
(Beth Wessel)
I
was introduced to your solo collection (7 Psalms & Spirituals)
three years ago when I was invited to sing a recital for a friends
church in Philadelphia. I was so inspired with your arrangements that
I have used three more of your collection books for my music ministry
to Senior Communities and Nursing homes in my area. Your music and
accompaniment CD's are a blessing for me and my audiences and I thank
you. I am looking forward to meeting you at the Volkwein's Choral
Concert in PGH./August 07.
(Joyce Temple)
I have enjoyed presenting or just playing all of your books for some time
now, but none to compare with "Gospel Classics". What an inspired work of
art. Thank you for making these old classics come back with new life.
The Lord is truly using you in this great work. A "Gospel Classics II"
would be a welcomed pleasure. Enjoyed your work in the Baylor Alleluia
conference in 2005. God Bless You.
(Tammy Cook)
Mark,
I have most of your books and I love them all! Your Well-Tempered Jazz
is terrific and is so much fun with the rhythm section and guitars. I
would love to see you do more multiple-keyboard arrangements or
keyboard and synthesizer arrangements. God bless you!
(S.A. Radvanyi)
Thank-you
so much for your inspirational and enjoyable arrangements of
spirituals. My congregation always loves when I sing one of your
arrangements. It's wonderful that trained singers can have something to
sing for church that the congregation can appreciate and enjoy as well.
(Karen Putnam)
I
have only 2 of your books. I have played for church many years and
really love your arrangements. Thanks to God for your talent.
(Alan Glazner)
Mark,
Your arrangement of Calvary's Love is one of the greatest pieces of
music our choir here at Grace Baptist Church has done. In addition, I
highly recommend SING JOY and 3 FESTIVE CAROLS.
(Loretta Muralt Holstein)
Thank you so much for your wonderful arrangements. I am on staff at
Beautiful Savior Lutheran church in Portland, OR, and your music is
such a blessing to us. Your piano arrangements adapt easily to the
organ. Your "I'll Fly Away" arrangement in GOSPEL CLASSICS is so much
fun. I play at many funeral homes in the area and have used that on the
organ and also on the piano. People love it! And on an organ with the
honky tonk piano, bass guitar, etc. it really is fun!
God bless you and may He continue to inspire you with more new ideas and arrangements.
(Anne Katherine Ragsdale)
Love your music! I use it frequently in our church worship services.
(Michael F.O'Neill)
Praise god for this lovely music.
(Amanda Peck)
Mark
- I am a young church pianist for a small mission church in the Rocky
Mountains of Colorado. I absolutely love your solo piano arrangements!
I must have about 10 of your books, including Gospel Classics, all of
the Lord Be Glorified books, and some of the Well Tempered Books, plus
more. You are a gift from God to someone like me who has very little
experience. My favorite arrangements are How Great Thou Art and It Is
Well With My Soul. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
(Chase Mears)
Just to let you know that I think the website is great and I wish you all of the best for the future
(Bryan Peeples)
Keep up this great resource
Betty McKew)
I've
been a church musician for 40 years, and I can truthfully say that I
have never enjoyed playing any music more than I enjoy playing your
music. Not only do I enjoy it, my congregations love it. Your anthem
arrangements are marvelous and are enjoyed by my choir. It is the best
of all worlds - playing and singing and listening. I look forward to
your next publications.
(Antonio Bernard)
fantastic place, beautiful, sunny, i love it! I will come back....
(Margery Johnson)
I
love the CD - Music for Madie - presented by the Manchester, MO Choir.
Your arrangements of Holy, Holy, Holy, Jesus Love of My Soul, and the
best---I Want Jesus To Walk With Me are absolutely beautiful. I play it
often. It is a huge choir, and I enjoy the whole thing. Thanks to you
---and all the choir members, conductor, and orchestra.
(Arlene Stebbins)
Thank
you so much for your beautiful piano arrangements. I cannot even begin
to tell you what a blessing they are for my congregation and myself.
God has blessed you and we are thankful you have chosen to share that
blessing with us.
(Elizabeth Taylor)
How
wonderful to meet you and sing under your direction this last Sunday at
Memorial Drive UMC. It was an experience I will keep close to my heart
for a very long time. I have printed the words to "Prayer of Being" and
tacked it to my wall so I can be reminded every morning of God in me.
Thank you thank you thank you. From your sparkling high "c"
(Shelby)
I
played "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho" for the talent show at my
school last year (I'm 14) and everybody loved it. Thanks for writing
awesome piano music.
(Ed Hyland)
For a recent worship
service I sang "Safe Within Your Arms" for several in our church family
with significant health challenges. I've always loved your music,
particularly the hymn arrangements, but received many comments on this
unfamiliar song. What a powerful blessing of promise to many of us!
Thanks for your ministry.
(Benni Adkins)
Just
wanted to let you know I enjoyed meeting you after the service at St.
James in Jenks. The music was so moving and I was truly blessed by it
all. I know a lot of those people in the choir and they sounded like
professionals!! I can't wait to "try my hands" at "How Great Thou Art."
Thanks again for coming to St. James. Hopefully, my little church will
reap the benefits as well.
(Jeffrey L. Claflin)
I
attended the choral workshop in Myerstown, PA yesterday (my first) and
was thrilled. I have recently taken an organist position in suburban
Phila.,after a 30 year absence, and attended this event with the
Director of Music Ministries, David Mangham. It was fabulous sitting in
the middle of 400 trained church musicians sight-reading these anthems,
and I was especially moved by the many Mark Hayes arrangements,as well
as his own compositions.Beautiful! Many thanks for a wonderful day.
(Gabriella)
I enjoyed looking around your web site. It is very well done.
(Linda)
Nice and very interesting site.
(Linda Flanary)
Mark,
you are the greatest ever!! I am playing at a concert Sunday afternoon
here in Paris, TX and I will be playing your gorgeous arrangement of
"How Great Thou Art" for the Glory of God!!!! I just can't wait until
you come out with another piano solo book -- I'm pretty sure I have all
of them in my collection through the years. I play duo-pianos with my
music teacher at Paris Junior College every year. Wish you would
arrange some beautiful two-piano pieces. That would be great fun!! Keep
up the wonderful work and God Bless You.
(Tom Whitcombe)
I
really enjoy using your choral compositions with my church choir. You
are one of a very few composers/arrangers that I trust completely.
Thank you for the intergrity-filled music.
P.S. my wife feels the same way about your keyboard compositions.
(MargeryJohnson)
I am still playing all of your lovely music Mark. Your Interludes have made a hit with me!!!!! Keep up the great work.
(Sandy Durham)
Hi
Mark, Love playing your music. I have all your books & watch for
more! Just wanted to let you know that when I was caring for my mother,
who was terminal with cancer, at my home, she loved to hear me play
your music. Her favorite was How Great Thou Art. It was so moving that
my sister would break out in tears and leave the room. Your music has
comforted and touched many. Thank you.
(Ebenézer Alves)
Suas músicas, Mark Hayes, são fabulosas e cantáveis.
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho.
(John Tiffin)
Enthusiastic
fan of your work. Our organist recently brought back some of your new
music, and we are beginning to use some of it in service,
Piano/Synth/Organ. The congregation cannot get enough of it. Thank you
greatly!
(Megan)
Hi. I am playing your song You Are My All In All in a competition. I really enjoy it. Keep up the good work
I
would like to say how your music spoke to my heart. I am a Salvation
Army officer and have had some challenging times the last few months.
During some very dark times I would come home and quietly play your
arrangements, just for me. I want you to know that God the Holy Spirit
came and healed my heart as I played. I thank you for sharing your
gift. Many blessings on you!
(Carla Gore)
I
happened upon your Gospel Classics book in a music store and have since
bought 3 more books-Well Tempered Jazz and 2 Christmas books. Best
arrangements I've come across ever! I played a couple Christmas pieces
during the holidays, and the congregation loved it. The music at our
church is very contemporary, but I love the old hymns and spirituals- I
plan to introduce more of your pieces at church. Thanks for sharing
your great talent!
